Built around the corridor that feeds Eastern DRC

From the port of Mombasa we run our own corridor through Kampala and across four border posts — Kasindi, Bunagana, Mahagi and Aru — to deliver anywhere in Eastern DRC, from Bukavu to Bunia, Durba and Kisangani. We also run national long-haul down to Lubumbashi and Kolwezi, and handle local, last-mile distribution across the East.

Our story

A family business, 50+ years in the field

TMK is a family-owned business founded in 1971 in Eastern D.R.C. In its early decades the company moved goods by air and across the Great Lakes, before focusing on road freight from 2011 — and growing continuously ever since.

Three generations of hands-on management have built the deep local knowledge and long-term relationships that newcomers can't match — the foundation of reliable logistics in one of Africa's most demanding regions.

Where do you operate, and how far can you deliver?

We move cargo from the port of Mombasa to every corner of Eastern DRC — and back the other way, from anywhere in Eastern DRC to Mombasa for export. We also handle local transport, point to point, across Eastern and Southern DRC.

Do you own your fleet, or do you rely on others?

We own our fleet — and every truck and trailer type the job needs: all-terrain trucks, tractor units, and flatbeds, lowbeds, tankers and more. On top of that, we draw on an outstanding network of trusted regional transport partners, so we can scale up capacity whenever a project demands it.

Do you handle customs clearing and border crossings?

You're free to manage your own clearing — but we have everything in-house to do it for you, at both import and export, and across every border post on the corridor.

Can you carry oversized, project cargo or specialised loads?

Absolutely. With our lowbeds and specialised trailers we move construction and mining equipment, out-of-gauge and abnormal loads, and demanding project cargo that many carriers can't handle — including dangerous goods where required.

Is cargo insured, and how do you keep it secure?

We can offer insurance through our network of insurers and brokers, with cover tailored to your shipment. Day to day, your goods stay secure through our own vetted crews, tracked vehicles and controlled handling across the corridor.
